Starting with the one-by-one reveal of newcomers ahead of the game's release, to trainers developing firm views on the full roster of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. The sign known for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored across this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a always shocked face like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than making a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Observe this sweet, sensitive creature, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a detriment – and trying to maintain the peace, there are numerous Scales who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to worry even more about others.

Scorpio – Super Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad backstory: Discarded as a toy, it became consciousness through pure hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a show. As a Sagittarius myself, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful small jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who often consistently think they’re correct. Interestingly, similar to a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
