What hell is the world of governance. Survey that cabinet table: every minister is confronted with exceptionally challenging portfolios without the means to do what they recognize is needed.

What they were handed was even more ruinous than feared: they were handed explosive situations, dishonest traps and enormous voids. Leaving the European Union is emerging as more economically devastating than expected, currently costing the exchequer £80bn each year.

The Challenges Mounting

Prepare for opposition the next election, so implement all policies immediately. Forget opinion polls and public consultations; enable the public to witness authentic dedication. The sole method to regain public trust is to do transparently what they believe most correct and reasonable.

The government's responsibility is to implement required actions to prevent it. Prepare for coalition, stay suitable for allied groups when the name of the party is overshadowed by the deep red line against a governance risk unseen in contemporary politics.

This represents a mission to drive out despair.
